Cleaning Tips For Your Home

Create A Routine

To get the clean house you want, you need a plan. Write a checklist of all the tasks that need doing (from clearing out the lint trap to cleaning out your fridge and freezer). Break the list down into daily habits and weekly chores, and give each one a timeframe.

For example, if you need to clean the bathroom, decide on a 30-minute time slot and set a timer. Work on the list until the timer goes off, and then move onto something else. Then, on your next scheduled cleaning day, start where you left off.

De-Clutter

Clutter creates a sense of stress and overwhelm in your home. It’s also a safety hazard and makes it harder to clean. In addition, it provides hiding places for insects and rodents. Start by decluttering your home one item at a time. Put items you’re ready to get rid of into separate piles: sell, donate, recycle, and throw away. Next, make a box or bin for things you want to keep.

Clean A Room At A Time

Cleaning the entire house can feel daunting, but breaking it down into smaller tasks makes the process much more manageable. Keeping up with laundry, dishes and vacuuming each week will help keep your home clean, but it’s important to also dive in and scrub the spaces that can get neglected during regular cleaning.
